Power*** is a 2014 Kannada-language Indian action feature film. The film is a remake of 2011 super hit Telugu film Dookudu. The film is directed by K. Madesh and produced by Ram Achata Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara on 14 Reels Entertainment. It features Puneeth Rajkumar and Trisha Krishnan in lead roles.

Faithful to the original, the film has Puneeth Rajkumar in a tailored role as Bharat Kumar IPS, on a mission to track down Naik and his men, who are baying for his blood. On home front, his father, an honest politician Krishnaprasad’s attempts to correct wrong-doers does not go well with them. So they plot his murder. However, he survives, but his detractors are unaware that he is recuperating in the hospital. Angered by the murder attempt on his father, Bharat swears vengeance on them. But keeps up the charade of a do-gooer politician in front of his father since his dad’s wish is to see his son as an honest politician like him. Learning Naik is operating from Spain he flies down to Barcelona only to be smitten by Prashanti who is pursuing her fashion design dreams. She, he learns, is the daughter of his boss Chandru, who in turn believes his daughter is in Delhi, pursuing her IPS to become a police officer like him. Peppered with high octane action, songs and dances, and crass comedy, Power*** has Puneeth Rajkumar keep to the film’s billing, pumping bullets and bashing baddies like nobody’s business, and romancing Trisha as relief from tedious actions. Being 161.42 minutes long, Power*** may interest Puneeth’s fans who have a whale of a time cheering their hero, whistling at his every action and prancing at his dance numbers before screen.
